Sheriff's Office Volunteer Program
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to volunteer your time working with a progressive law enforcement agency in Solano County? The Solano County Sheriff's Office is excited to announce that we are currently accepting applications for people interested in volunteering their valuable time supporting operations in our office. In keeping with community partnerships, we are opening our doors to the "Sheriff's Active Volunteer Experience." This dynamic group of volunteers will be utilized throughout the Sheriff's Office to assist our staff with a wide variety of jobs and assignments. Areas you may be assigned to include, but are not limited to, Patrol Division (Volunteer Citizen Patrol) Investigations Bureau, Administrative Services, Property and ID, Records and Warrants, Animal Services, and Public Relations. There will be plenty of room for flexibility in the hours that you volunteer to work; however, we do require that you volunteer at least 16 hours every month. If the idea of working with law enforcement professionals to combat crime and promote community safety intrigues you, print out the on-line application, fill it out, and mail it back - Attn: Volunteer Coordinator Charles Lee, 530 Union Avenue, Suite 100, Fairfield, CA 94533.
Applicants for this position must pass a complete background check. Those who qualify will be notified by mail or phone. If you have any questions concerning this program, please contact Desiree Bodiford at: (707) 784-7402.
***NOTE: Due to COVID-19 volunteer opportunities are limited and your application may take longer to process***
