Lt. Jake McNeil started his career as a Park Ranger for the Solano County Parks Department in 2004. He joined the Solano County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff July of 2005. As a Deputy Sheriff he was assigned to Court Security, Patrol and Investigations. Jake worked as a Field Training Officer, Narcotics Detective assigned to Cal-MMET and the Sheriff’s Enforcement Team (SET). Jake was an Instructor for the Defensive Tactics team and a member for the Mobile Field Force team. Jake received the Medal of Valor for actions taken in the line of duty during 2017.Jake promoted to Sergeant-Sheriff in March of 2019. Jake was assigned to Patrol and Investigations. He supervised investigative teams including Criminal Investigations, VICE, Auto Theft and Gang Intelligence. Jake was also the team leader for the Defensive Tactics team. In November 2024, Jake promoted to Lieutenant-Sheriff and is now eligible for a bio. Jake currently is assigned to manage Patrol, K9, Resident Deputy, Animal control and Peer Support. Jake has a Bachelor’s degree in Art with options in Art Education and Studio Art from CSU Chico. Jake holds numerous professional certificates from the State of California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). |
