John Cardenas
                                                           Staff Analyst

John Cardenas began his career in Solano County as an Eligibility Specialist in the Department of Health & Social Services in January 2021, where he processed applications for public assistance benefits. Prior to working for Solano County, John worked for both the City of Fairfield and the City of Vacaville Recreation Departments.

In January 2025, John was promoted to his current position of Staff Analyst in the Sheriff’s Office. As the Staff Analyst, John provides budgetary and fiscal oversight, contract development, monitoring and legislative analysis for the Sheriff’s Office Custody Division.

John is a graduate of the California State University, Sacramento, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
