If you do not want COBRA, merely disregard the COBRA notification. The cost for COBRA is equal to the full monthly premium plus a 2% administrative fee. Monthly premiums for COBRA coverage are made payable to Solano County (except for CalPERS Health Insurance) and administered through the Solano County Employee Benefits Division. If you elect the COBRA continuation option instead of the Retiree medical program described above, you will not have an option later to enroll in the Retiree medical program through the County.
