Desireé  started her career with Solano County 14 years ago, working as an Accounting Clerk II in the Sheriff’s Office. She quickly promoted to an Accounting Technician working in Accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, and fixed assets. Desireé transferred to the Auditor-Controller’s Office Payroll unit where she focused on the implementation of the IntelliTime time reporting system to the entire county and bi-weekly payroll processing. Desireé received her bachelor’s degree in Business Management and promoted to Accounting Supervisor with H&SS Fiscal Issuance. After gaining supervisory experience, she promoted to Clerical Operations Manager with the Assessor-Recorder’s Office where she assisted in transitioning units to paperless processing, worked to upgrade technology and streamline processes.  She also spent time working with H&SS Employment and Eligibility Services division as their Clerical Operations Manager.

In her current role as the Sheriff’s Office Employee Services Manager, she is responsible for designing, planning, organizing, managing and implementing a variety of employee services which include recruiting and hiring, payroll and benefits, extended leave management, employee development and support, coaching, recognition and retention programs, Wellness or work-life programs, and other employee enrichment programs for over 600 employees and volunteers.
