Solano County Highway Interchange Study

Solano County is conducting a feasibility study to explore near-term commercial and residential development opportunities around eight key interchanges along the I-80 corridor.

These areas represent valuable land intended for future development, strategically located near established communities and displaying favorable demographics and land use characteristics.

Map of Interchange Study AreaThe Study Areas include unincorporated parcels at:

  1. I-80 and Chadbourne Rd. (near Fairfield)
  2. I-80 and Lagoon Valley Rd (near Vacaville)
  3. I-505 and Midway Rd (near Vacaville)
  4. I-80 and Midway Rd (near Vacaville)
  5. I-80 and Dixon Ave (near Dixon)
  6. I-80 and Pitt School Rd (near Dixon)
  7. I-80 and Currey Rd (near Dixon)
  8. I-80 and Pedrick Rd (near Dixon)

While the County’s General Plan emphasizes development within city limits where municipal services are available, these unincorporated parcels remain under County jurisdiction for planning purposes. This study evaluates how these areas can potentially spur economic growth and meet community needs while addressing infrastructure constraints and land use considerations.

We invite you to a virtual Community Workshop to learn more about this study, share your thoughts on potential land use changes, and help shape the future of these key interchanges.
