When do I need sexually transmitted infection/disease (STI/STD) testing?

In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it is recommended that sexually active women and transmen, under age 25, be tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea every year. CDC also recommends getting tested for sexually transmitted infections if you have:

• symptoms of any STI/STD
• a new sex partner since your last STI/STD screening
• more than one sex partner
• a sex partner who has more than one sex partner

Attention: If you are experiencing severe STI/STD symptoms, do not order a home test kit. Instead, contact your health care provider or visit TakeMeHome to locate an in-person testing site.

How will I receive the home test kit?

The home test kit will be mailed to you at an address of your choice (e.g., your home, a friend's home, your work, PO Box, etc.)— you decide where. You will receive the home test kit in a confidential, plain white envelop within 1-3 days after placing your order.

Follow the fast and simple steps, then mail it back in the pre-paid envelope provided—the postage is already paid!
