It is the policy of the County of Solano that all applicants, employees, unpaid interns, volunteers and persons providing services to the County under a contract shall work in an environment free from harassment, discrimination, retaliation, hostile work environment, and bullying.
The duties and responsibilities of the Equal Employment Opportunity Office include:
- Providing guidance and assistance to County managers, supervisors, employees, and Department EEO Representatives on EEO related matters
- Promoting diversity in the workplace
- Conducting investigations on complaints of employment discrimination or harassment
- Developing, monitoring, and implementing the County's Equal Employment Opportunity Plan
- Overseeing the Equal Employment Opportunity Committee (EEOC)
- Developing and providing EEO training (Sexual Harassment, Diversity, ADA)
