Equal Employment Opportunity

It is the policy of the County of Solano that all applicants, employees, unpaid interns, volunteers and persons providing services to the County under a contract shall work in an environment free from harassment, discrimination, retaliation, hostile work environment, and bullying.

The duties and responsibilities of the Equal Employment Opportunity Office include:
  • Providing guidance and assistance to County managers, supervisors, employees, and Department EEO Representatives on EEO related matters
  • Promoting diversity in the workplace
  • Conducting investigations on complaints of employment discrimination or harassment
  • Developing, monitoring, and implementing the County's Equal Employment Opportunity Plan
  • Overseeing the Equal Employment Opportunity Committee (EEOC)
  • Developing and providing EEO training (Sexual Harassment, Diversity, ADA)
