Vital Statistics provides birth certificates for children 2 years old and under.
To obtain certificates of birth for persons older than two years of age, please visit the Solano County Assessor/Recorder's Office.

Solano Public Health's Vital Statistics is issuing Birth Certificates online and by mail. 
If you wish to pick up your certificate in person at 275 Beck Ave., Fairfield, please call 707-784-8060 to make an appointment. 


Requesting a Birth Certificate

Certificates can be requested online or by mail. To obtain a certified copy, you must complete the sworn statement included with the birth certificate application form and sign the statement under penalty of perjury. If you mail your request, your sworn statement must be notarized. Pursuant to California Health and Safety Code Section 103526, only specific individuals are permitted to obtain an authorized certified copy of a birth record.

Paying for the Certificate

Fees

The fee for a birth certificate is $34. A fee of $20 may be added to expedite the delivery.

Please follow the following steps listed to place your order:
1. Print the Birth Certificate Application Form.


2. Complete the application including the notarized section, then email the form to [email protected].

3. Pay online.

*When you select the mailing option, please make sure your application is notarized. If it does not include a notarized statement sworn under penalty of perjury, the request will be marked incomplete and will not be processed.
