General Assistance and Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants

The General Assistance (GA) Program provides short-term cash assistance and supportive services to adults age 18 or older without children. GA helps people find employment and connect to helpful resources. The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) advocacy program is available to assist individuals with disabilities and significant barriers to employment apply for SSI benefits.

Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI) provides cash assistance to aged, blind, or disabled legal permanent resident immigrants who have been denied Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits solely due to their immigration status. For more information, click here.
