County Registrar of Voters reminds voters to drop-off ballots at curbside locations

February 28, 2020

SOLANO COUNTY – With only four days to go before the March 3, 2020 Primary Election, the Registrar of Voters is reminding voters that there are several options for ballot drop-off, including additional curbside drop off locations in Fairfield, Vacaville and Vallejo.

"We want to recommend voters drop-off ballots at ballot boxes and curbside drop-off locations," says John Gardner, Assistant Registrar of Voters.  “With almost 80 percent of the registered voters requesting vote by mail ballots for the primary election, we want to be sure that ballots are received by our office as early as possible in a manner that is most convenient to voters.”

PLEASE NOTE: an additional curbside drop-off location will be available at the Vacaville City Hall, 650 Merchant Street, on Monday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Tuesday, March 3 from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Ballots can be dropped off at three curbside locations as follows:
(1)  Fairfield, County Administration Center (Union St. Side) – Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday
(2)  Vallejo, Cal Maritime Academy (Aquatic Center) – Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday
(3)  Vacaville, City Hall – Monday and Tuesday

All curbside drop-off location times are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., except on Primary Election Day which is 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.  Ballots can also be dropped off at any city clerk office in Solano County during regular business hours.  A full list of drop-off locations and hours is located on the ROV website, Ballot Drop-Off Locations.

The deadline to request a ballot to be mailed to voters was February 25, 2020.  All requests for ballots must be picked up at our Fairfield office, e-mailed to voters or downloaded from the ROV Website.  The ROV will be open for full voter services on Saturday, February 29 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

For additional information, voters can e-mail: [email protected] or call (707) 784-6675.

The ROV website makes it easy for Solano County residents to download materials electronically, get ballots in an accessible format, request additional materials or update their voter registration information.
