County names D’Agustino as the Public Defender

SOLANO COUNTY – The Solano County Board of Supervisors, by a unanimous vote, has appointed Elena D'Agustino as the new Public Defender for Solano County.  Ms. D’Agustino has been serving as the Interim Public Defender since February 2019 as was selected following an extensive recruitment.

Elena D’Agustino has a Bachelor’s of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts in mathematics and economics.  She earned her Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law in New York.

Ms. D’Agustino began her career as an attorney in California in 1997 and has worked for Solano County in the Public Defender’s Office since January 1998.
