Join us every fourth Saturday of the month to work on projects at Patwino Worrtla Kodoi Dihi Open Space Park! Projects include improving trails, fixing fences, weeding, and more. No experience necessary! Participants will learn while volunteering.

Join Solano Land Trust staff for this month’s Community Science volunteer activity: rare flower monitoring! This Community Science Volunteer Opportunity will focus on counting and monitoring the rare flower Harmonia nutans (nodding Harmonia). This species of plant is only found in two locations in Solano County, one of them being Patwino Worrtla Kodoi Dihi Open Space Park. Harmonia nutans is a short flower, so counting it does involve bending and/or kneeling, and the hike in is moderately steep and about 30 minutes.
No experience identifying these plants is necessary. Training will be provided onsite. The area is in full sun, so water, sunscreen, and layers are recommended. Please meet in the Welcome Plaza of Patwino Worrtla Kodoi Dihi Open Space Park, from where we will caravan to the West Gate. May be rescheduled based on seasonality; we will send an email to those who have signed up and do a social media blast a week prior to confirm date.

Join Solano Land Trust for a plein air painting event at Patwino Worrtla Kodoi Dihi Open Space Park. Bring your own painting supplies, a folding chair, an easel (if you choose), sun protection, and water. At the end of the outing, we will share our paintings.

Please note: A $5 donation to Solano Land Trust per participant will be collected upon arrival. There is also a $5 parking fee, which goes towards Solano County Parks.
