Solano Registrar of Voters establishes alternate phone number after wildfire impacts communication lines
August 30, 2021
SOLANO COUNTY – Earlier today, the Solano County Registrar of Voters was informed of voters not being able to reach the office through the regular phone line, (707) 784-6675, and therefore has established an alternate number for voters to call, (707) 324-1083.
“The phone circuits we use have been impacted Countywide by the Caldor Fire,” said Tim Flanagan, Solano County Chief Information Officer and Registrar of Voters. “Voters may receive a busy signal or dropped call when trying to access our office. We are providing a temporary, alternate line to help ensure service during this critical time in the election calendar.”
VOTING OPTIONS FOR RECALL ELECTION
All Solano County registered voters have been mailed a vote by mail ballot. Voters will have opportunities to return their ballot either by mail, at 16 drop-off locations throughout the county, or in-person on election day at approximately 100 polling places.
ABOUT THE RECALL BALLOTS
Recall ballots have two parts. In the first part, voters would have the option to vote “yes” or “no” to the question of whether to remove the Governor from office. In the second part, the voter would have an opportunity to select a replacement candidate. It is important to note that votes for a successor candidate would only be counted if more than 50 percent of voters casting ballots in the recall election vote to recall the Governor.

The Registrar will have extended office hours to include Saturday, September 11 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. to provide additional options for voters to provide additional voting days to voters.
