Docent in Residence Weekend: Lake Solano Canoe Tour
Departments - Resource Management - Parks
Location: Lake Solano County Park
8685 Pleasants Valley Rd., Winters, CA, 95694
Enjoy the lovely weather with a guided canoe tour at Lake Solano Park! This canoe adventure is from 8:15 AM - 10:30 AM and will be led by volunteer docent Carla Murphy.
Discover the wonders of Putah Creek through exploration, education, and relaxation out on the water. This guided tour is an opportunity to learn about life along the creek and the special riparian forest that grows along its banks. The guided trip is limited to 8 guests. Children age 8 and older are welcome if accompanied by an adult. There will be a basic safety and paddling discussion before beginning. Canoes, paddles, and lifejackets will be provided free of charge.

Participants may want to bring water, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. You may get wet, so shoes/pants that can get wet and a change of clothes is recommended!

Reservations are required! Reserve a spot online using the link below. Guests should arrive by 8:50 PM to pay the $8 per vehicle parking fee (payable on the east/day-use side of the park, cash or check, exact change only).  For questions in advance, contact Alli at [email protected] or (530) 795-9000.
