Solano County reaches deal with Public Employees Union, Local One - bargaining unit 16

November 18, 2015

SOLANO COUNTY – The Public Employees Union, Local One, bargaining Unit 16, representing more than 90 mid-management employees within Solano County, voted to ratify the tentative agreement reached with Solano County late last week.

The tentative agreement provides a 3 percent wage increase in 2015 and a 3 percent wage increase in 2016 and also includes increases to the County's contribution toward the cafeteria plan, which is tied to Kaiser Bay Area premiums for both January 2016 and January 2017.  In addition, the agreement provides additional pay increases to maintain internal alignment for physician supervisors, dentist supervisors, dentist managers and psychiatrist supervisors.

"I’m pleased to see they’ve voted so quickly and have ratified the tentative agreement of the parties," said Birgitta E. Corsello, Solano County Administrator.  “The cafeteria plan money and cost of living increases will come just in time for the holidays.  It’s a fair offer and the vote indicates the employees think so too.”
