Solano County Public Health officials to survey homeowners about earthquake impact in Vallejo

SOLANO COUNTY – The Solano County Health and Social Services, Public Health Division staff and volunteers will conduct door-to-door surveys in Vallejo starting this Friday in an effort to better understand how the Aug. 24 earthquake impacted residents. 

Volunteers will survey homeowners, selected at random, about their experiences during and after the earthquake.  The information collected will be used to help officials assist residents better prepare for future emergencies.

Staff and volunteers, traveling in teams of two, will provide homeowners with proper County identification credentials before conducting any surveys.  A volunteer verification number will be provided to all homeowners should they have questions.

Surveying will take place during the following times:
- Fri., Oct. 17: 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Sat., Oct. 18: 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Mon., Oct. 20: 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
