"This is the first career event of its kind for Solano County," says Jeannine Seher, Assistant Human Resources Director.  “For those who’ve never gone through the Civil Service hiring process before, it can seem like a mystery, and, while it is different from the private sector, our goal is the same – to recruit and hire the best qualified people to serve Solano County residents.”

In addition to the hiring event and informational workshops, participants are invited to visit and explore the Sheriff’s Animal Services adoption trailer (pet adoptions will be available) and patrol vehicle, the Health and Social Services mobile medical and dental vans and EMS Medic Ambulance.  The Department of Resource Management will be demonstrating land survey equipment, hazardous waste containers, how organic waste becomes compost and more.

Attendees are asked to register for the event by visiting www.SolanoCounty.com and clicking the Job Fair and Career Expo link.  Space for the workshops is limited so interested parties are encouraged to register as soon as possible.   If a workshop is already full, please register for the main event and register for the “wait list.”  Additional attendees may be allowed if cancellations occur.
