MEDIA ADVISORY: Solano Regional Forum on Peer Support Services

WHO and WHAT:
Solano County Health & Social Services (H&SS) – Behavioral Health Department, in partnership with The California Association of Mental Health Peer Fun Organizations (CAMHPRO) and Circle of Friends Wellness and Recovery Center in Fairfield, is hosting a Regional Forum on Peer Support Services. The forum begins with two speaking panels -- a keynote panel and constituency panel. The keynote panel discusses the importance of peer support services and the legislative advocacy aspect of peer certification and workforce development related to the new SB906; the constituency panel discusses varying perspectives on the value of peer support through personal experiences.
