Deputy Christine Castillo
Public Information Officer
I began my career with the Solano County Sheriff’s Office in March of 2003 as a Correctional Officer and graduated from the Adult Corrections Core in September 2003. I was appointed as a Deputy Sheriff- Trainee in January 2005. I attended the Napa Valley College Criminal Justice Training Center, where I graduated from Class 58 of the Basic Police Academy.
I have worked a variety of assignments while employed with the Sheriff’s Office. Those assignments include: Court Services, Patrol, Transportation, and Civil. In 2008, I was selected to be the Recruit Training Officer (RTO) at the Napa Valley College Criminal Justice Training Center for the Basic Police Academy Class 72. Being an RTO was challenging and highly rewarding. I’ve enjoyed watching my cadets go on to have very successful careers in Law Enforcement.
I am currently a member of the Solano County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, Mobile Field Force, and Hostage Negotiations Teams. I previously served as our agency ride-along coordinator as well as on the Public Relations and Recruitment Team, where I was able to build positive relationships with the community and law enforcement applicants.
I began my assignment as Public Information Officer in July 2015.
