Le’Ron Cummings was born in San Francisco, CA in 1982 and moved the east bay when he was 5 years old. There, he attended Vista Christian Elementary School and Salesian College Preparatory High School in Richmond, CA. While in high school, Le’Ron Cummings played baseball, basketball and football. Le’Ron Cummings graduated from Salesian high School in 2000.

In pursuit of higher education, Le’Ron Cummings attended college which included, Contra Costa Community College where he received an Associate Degree (A.A.) in liberal studies and Cal State Hayward where he ultimately obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA.).

After slight persuasion from his older brother (who is currently in law enforcement, Le’Ron Cummings enrolled in the Napa Valley’s Criminal Justice Training Center police academy in 2007. While in the police academy, Le’Ron Cummings was hired by the Solano County Sheriff’s Office.

In the course of his duties at the Solano County Sheriff’s Office, Le’Ron Cummings held multiple collateral assignments. Those assignments included: a field training officer (F.T.O), informal policy writing committee, bulk cash interdiction team and crisis negotiator. While at the sheriff’s office he also received a “distinguished service medal” for sustaining a life.

For four years, Le’Ron Cummings worked for the Vacaville Police Department. There, he was promoted to the positions of Field Training Officer and Detective for the Community Response Unit (C.R.U).

Le’Ron Cummings is excited and honored to be assuming the role of Public Information Officer for the Solano County Sheriff’s Office.
