Test Information for Health Professionals

Information on testing methods, specimen collection, and specimen storage is intended for the use of healthcare professionals. To submit specimens to the laboratory, healthcare providers must have an existing account with the laboratory. In cases of an outbreak, laboratory services are provided at no cost to the submitter, but pre-approval by and coordination with communicable disease is required. For additional reference laboratory services, the Napa-Solano-Yolo-Marin County Public Health Laboratory acts as conduit to route specimens to the California Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention for appropriate testing.
