Indigent Medical Care

Solano County Medical Services for the Indigent
If you have been denied Medi-Cal or CMSP or have no insurance and need medical services, you can get medical services through the Solano County Family Health Services.   Solano County Family Health Services provides free and low cost comprehensive primary medical services and referrals for specialty, hospital, emergency, pharmacy and ancillary services. 

Cost
There is no share of cost for adults and families whose incomes are at or below the Federal Poverty Level.  If your income is higher, you may have a share of cost based upon your income.

Appeals Process
When a patient is denied a requested medical service or assessed a share of cost for the medical service provided, the patient is informed of the appropriate due process available to him/her. If the patient chooses to appeal the service denial or share of cost assessment, he/she must request a review of that decision, in writing, within ten (10) WORKING DAYS of the date of the denial letter. Send the written request for appeal to:

The letter must state that the patient is requesting an appeal and why he/she is dissatisfied. The patient is encouraged to submit additional medical information to substantiate the medical reason for the requested medical service or for the disputed share of cost for the services provided.
