November-Resilience

Make sure your kids eat right, exercise, and get plenty of sleep!

Resilience is the ability to adapt well to hardship, or trauma, significant stress. Helping children build resiliency can help them manage feelings of anxiety and uncertainty. Building resilience involved behaviors, thoughts, and actions that can be learned over time. Try to teach your children to make connections including making friends and learning empathy. Keeping your kids to a consistent routine can be comforting especially to younger children who are filled with more uncertainty. Also, make sure you teach your children the importance of self-care including eating right, exercising, and getting adequate sleep. If your child seems overwhelmed, try using the tips above or talk to a professional. Turning to someone for guidance may help your child build resilience which is essential to lifelong success!
