Does a campfire sound good to you right now? How about paddling along a lake as birds fly past you? Join Lake Solano Docent Carla Murphy for a Docent-in-Residence Weekend at Lake Solano Park!

“Lake Solano has so much to offer,” says Kent Anderson, Putah Creek Council Executive Director. “There are always new things to discover out there, and so many opportunities to observe wildlife!” On this upcoming Docent-in-Residence Weekend, visitors can learn all about the Park wildlife, plants, history, and more through programs happening Friday – Sunday.

September 22: Campfire Program, 6:30 PM
September 23: Nature & History Walk, 11:00 AM; Canoe Tour (registration required), 12:45 PM; Stargazing, 7:00 PM
September 24: Roving Docents Cart, 11:00 AM

All of the Docent-in-Residence Weekend programs are free. Campsite reservations can be made by visiting parkreservations.solanocounty.com, or calling the Lake Solano Nature Center at 530-795-2990. Parking at Lake Solano Park is only $6 per vehicle, payable at the day use entrance to the Park, across the street from the Nature Center.
